Filmmaker Sean Pecknold offers us a behind-the-scenes peek at Fleet Foxes’ most recent national tour. This black & white art piece will find itself in my personal music hall of fame.
To make something as complex as INCEPTION into an infographic… Wow.
I was just sent a copy of this solid Producer’s Handbook by veteran indie film producer Randy Becker.
He was nice enough to offer up a free PDF copy of the useful handbook to those lucky enough to stumble on it. While I haven’t gotten a chance to read past page 14, so far I’ve come across a few key takeaways that I’ve highlighted for my own interests.
Namely:
THERE ARE THREE KINDS OF PROFESSIONALS IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY:
1. Talent
2. Money
and
3. People who connect the two.
Poignant as can be!
Great new blog to add to the roll… Brand-E highlights innovative brand communications — and seems to be heavy into branded entertainment and engagement marketing.

Budding 3D home movie aficionados take note: An “affordable” consumer 3D camcorder, the HDC-SDT750, has leaked out ahead of a purported “official” reveal on July 28. The one caveat is this isn’t exactly a “new” camcorder at all:
Nay, it’s actually an older 3MOS model with a “3D coversion lens” attached to the front. Nevertheless, this up-scaled 3D camcorder will sport 1080p AVCHD 60fps capability and Hybrid O.I.S. image stabilization. Perfect should your first foray into 3D home movies be, for instance, the birth of your first child. Price? Availability? Mysteries for now, dear readers. Perhaps there will be more at the Tokyo reveal on the 28th. [via Engadget]

Just as quickly as it was approved by the House, the movie futures trading industry was killed by the Senate:
The Senate on Thursday overwhelmingly passed far-reaching financial reform legislation that included a ban on movie futures trading.
Passing with a 60-39 vote, the bill now goes to President Obama for signing.
The president, who has viewed the reform legislation one of the signature accomplishments of his administatration, is expected to sign the bill next week, if not sooner.
